Is an Arborist a Risky Job?

However, is that true that their job won’t lead them to serious injuries? Well, let’s get to know what they do actually?
As arborists, they have to be ready to plant, fertilize, inspect, prune, rescue and remove trees. Inspection of the health of a tree is not easy, so they need to get education and certificate to be arborists. Moreover, pruning, removing and planting a tall and big tree is not easy. Here, their safety can be at risk since sometimes they need to prune branches of a tall tree. Thus, there is always possibility to fall from a height if they are not careful. Thus, when doing this job, they required wearing fall protection harness to guarantee their safety. Accident may also happen when they remove and plant big trees. Thus, they have to wear helmets on their head every time they work in case something falls from above.
If arborists deal with small plants, it may be true that their job is not risky. Their possible accident is hurting themselves with their tools. However, the fact is that they usually deal with big trees so they need good quality safety tools when working.
